Putting up a new site, pricing changes, and related info….
Hi!
It’s Wade (HandymanWade), back in the world after a couple years on the road doing my other work, in this case touring as bass/vocals for Kenny Loggins on his “This Is It!” final tour, and yes, it was a blast and I feel very gratified to have had the experience, it was amazing!
Now I’m back to the real world and back to business as usual with my handyman work, and I’d like to share some of what’s going on….
First, I have a new website that showcases some of what I do, and also makes it possible to book me via a form on the site using email. You can go to the site, fill in a form with email info and the option to give me detailed info about what you’re looking to do, and I can respond via email or text, talk about any things that need clarification etc and about pricing/timing, and get a visit scheduled!
Mostly everyone that knows me up till now uses text, but sometimes email is better, especially when you’re busy or at work etc, so it can be a useful option….

Also on this website is a form to signup to a newsletter, that list will NEVER be sold or shared with anyone else, and is only to share pricing sales, or a new service that I may offer in the future, and will not be overused!
Next I’d like to talk about the economy/pricing. Things in this work have become MUCH more expensive than they used to be even 3 years ago, and that means I have to make some changes, not drastic, but it’s gotta be done.
I’ll be moving more towards an all-in price on various types of work, that will allow me to quote a price on a job that I know will work for me, makes it clear what the end price will be to you, and make it a little easier for everyone to know what to expect from a given task.
This model won’t work for ALL types of projects, but it will for many of the regular types of work that I encounter fairly often, tho some other types of jobs will require my past pricing model which has been an hourly rate. That rate has typically been pretty low for the market, as I try to be as cost effective and affordable as possible, but times and expenses have changed, and I have to modify my hourly rate a bit to reflect that.
My current new customer rate is now $85 per hour, so if you’re at that rate now, you would stay at that rate on projects that require an hourly. Many of my clients have a lower rate that reflects what my pricing was set at when we met, so that will change as follows – if you have a rate that is say $65 per hour for example, then I will split the difference with you to move it to $75 per hour. So basically any rate that is below my current rate of $85 per hour, your rate will move to the middle of the difference. If you’re currently at $70 per hour, you would go to $77.50 per hour, etc etc….
I want to recognize and continue to value our past work together by making the lower pricing available to my long standing clients, but I must also recognize that my expenses have gone up and make this adjustment that I hope will work for everyone going forward.
My apologies for the long text, but I wanted to reach out and share that I’m back to the Handyman work, tell you about these changes, and let you know about the website if that type of communication works better!
Thank you, Wade!
